How to Re-Decorate Your Office Space

As many of us go back into our workspaces after a year of working from home, we wanted to share ways to comfortably transition back into the office. It can be a little daunting entering a space that you haven’t stepped foot in since last March. For many of us, our office space is much different from our home situation, which made the pandemic a tough situation for those who had to balance and differentiate work and home. With over a year working from home, many of us adapted and created the perfect work environment in the comfort of our homes.

As we go back to work, we want our office to be a safe space for us and one that provides us equal amounts of comfort and ease— a reflection of what we created at home. We’ve listed below a number of ways you can re-direct your office space to make it feel like home. We also know that each office is different in its layout, so we have also listed a few items you can purchase to spruce up your desk or cabinet areas.

Get organized (…but like, in a cute way)

The amount of luxurious organizational products that we have seen over the past couple of months astonishes us. We were so used to either grey, white, or black bins to store our pens and papers, but now you can customize your organizers however you want. We love a chic acrylic moment, but you can go any way that suits your style.

Add some art or photos to your wall

A great way to spruce up any work space is to add a few art pieces or framed photos to your area. Both act as great ways to add pops of color and personality to your desk.

Houseplants to liven the mood

Bringing a natural element to your space will lift your spirits and enhance your mood. Certain plants (snake plants, peace lily, spider plants, aloe vera, broad lady palm, etc.) purify and detoxify the air around you, making your environment feel fresh and clean.

Accent rugs make everything better

No, seriously they do. Anywhere a rug can be placed, we highly suggest putting one there. There are thousands of different colors, prints, shapes, and sizes to choose from when it comes to rugs, which make them some of our favorite accent pieces! Rugs also add an aspect of comfort and warmth, elevating any space needing more oomph.

Standout sitting chair

Obviously, this one is important to have wherever your work may be. Some people like sticking with the classic black rolling chair, but we think upgrading our sitting situation is a must since we will be glued to it all day.

A desk to call your own

Easily the most important thing you can have in your work space is a desk that fits you and your lifestyle. Whether you are the boss of your own company and are always on the move or work at a law firm and need a desk that has ample storage space, finding the correct desk to fit your work life is essential to work performance.
