Old Friends Equine

We wholeheartedly believe in taking care of our planet and the creatures that live alongside us. Old Friends Equine provides a home to 100+ retired racing thoroughbred horses. A sanctuary and safe space, the organization has grown has from a leased paddock to a 236-acre farm and a herd of over 200 rescued and retired horses.

Old Friends is seen almost as a “living history museum of horse racing” and encourages people from all over to come and see the majestic beauty that are these horses. Founder Michael Blowen knew what he was doing when he opened up Old Friends; he invested his life into a company that not only saw champions in these horses, but beautiful creatures that are still very much deserving of love as well.
