Travel Diary: Palm Springs

Are you looking for a quick escape out of the city for a weekend? Then Palm Springs may be the perfect destination for you- it is one of our favorite places to go and relax after a crazy work week. If you’re based in Los Angeles, Palm Springs is only 2 hours outside of the city and is the perfect oasis to escape to! The city of Palm Springs is known for its stylish home decor (particularly famous for their mid-century architecture), abundant pool parties, and some of the best bars and restaurants the desert has to offer. It is also a 30 minute drive to Joshua Tree National Park, so if hitting the town isn’t quite your definition of relaxing, there are plenty of spots to relax and camp throughout the park grounds.

Below, we’ve compiled the best spots to eat, sleep, and play in Palm Springs. Come along with us as we explore the mystical desert city that has been a hotspot since the ‘80’s!

Parker Palm Springs welcomes guests with their sleek design and plethora of Instagrammable spots. We stayed here on a recent weekend trip and loved the chic ambiance of the hotel. Everything about this space was amazing, from their modern design to their elegant lemonade stand! We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and definitely suggest bringing your best get-up and camera for the perfect photo op!

Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs 701 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Just a ways down from Parker Palm Springs is Ace Hotel. The Ace Hotel is notorious for having some of the hippest hotels in the country, and this one is no different as it is beautifully designed and boasts chic western modernism. The hotel comes with a massive pool, bohemian bar and restaurant, swanky spa and swim club, and shops that boast some of the best local artisans in the area.
